About metropolitan pharmacy

For over 30 years, metropolitan pharmacy has been an integral part of Munich Airport – offering warmth, expertise and comprehensive healthcare services. What began in 1992 with pharmacist Walter Verfürth has developed into a reliable healthcare centre for travellers, airport employees and visitors from the region.
 
In 2025, Walter Verfürth handed over the reins to pharmacist Philipp Lauterbach, who continues the success story and further strengthens healthcare provision in and around Munich Airport. The Lauterbach family, fourth-generation pharmacists, stands for pharmaceutical expertise, personal advice and a genuine passion for the well-being of their customers.
 
Today, more than 50 employees at four locations in the airport area are committed to providing travellers and locals alike with the best possible service – reliably, competently and always with a smile.
